Well the count down is on and only 8 more days before the hanging date (2nd of August) This is my first exhibition and I really didn't know what was involved!! Been painting like a maniac and I have completed 2 more paintings :) With so much still to organise I must put the painting brush down and concentrate on framing, mount cutting and not forgetting the labels! I really wanted to finish a Bleeding Heart study that I have sketched, yet not painted! So I shall try to get ahead of myself and if I have time left the Bleeding Heart may be hanging along side 20 other paintings!

The Mother Nature exhibition at the Dugdale centre Enfield EN2 6DS is going very well indeed and due to popularity the exhibition is going to be running for another month! So please pop in and see the exhibition and some new artworks too. I have just finished the below painting and working on some more botanical subjects :)

Passiflora incarnata - Passion flower

 Centaurea montana - Perennial Cornflower

Aquilegia columbine – Aquilegia

I have been quiet for the last few weeks!! Been very busy preparing for my upcoming art exhibition with a fellow artist. I'm now painting like crazy in my new studio, which is proving to be a perfect working environment :) So much easier than painting at our dining room table which is placed in an open living environment! So nice to have the peace and quiet of my studio and a gentle sound of classical music in the background....Just what I need, a perfect retreat at last and my creative juices are flowing and I'm on a bit of a roll :)

This is one of my paintings that I have just completed....I enjoyed doing this one and I'm loving painting what I want to paint and putting my own mark on my artworks :)
