Final diploma pieces!!!

Well after 27 long months of patience, practice and perseverance studying with The Society of Botanical Artists i did it!! I passed with credit! So very proud and happy right now; I couldn't believe my eyes when I received my results on Tuesday! So now i'm Julie Whelan dipSBA! I'm really looking forward to my graduation on the 20th of April. Then it's all go to prepare for my first exhibition in August with my friend and fellow artist Samantha Anne Hutchinson. Happy times ahead :)

My final Diploma portfolio pieces

Ananas comosus Pineapple

Well I finished all my diploma pieces 6 days early :) So I woke up last Tuesday morning and decided I could do better with my pineapple!! So in my craziness I managed to paint Pinocchio 2 in just 5 days! It really is easier to paint the second time round! In my heart I knew i could do it! Phew that was a traumatic few days for sure!

Mixed floral in watercolour. "Spring has sprung"
Crocus vernus 'Picwick' Crocus. Galanthus nivalis 'Scharlockii' Snowdrop. Hedera helix 'Variety unknown' Ivy.
